Locked Out

God help me I did it again, and yes that means this isn't the first time. I locked myself out of the house this morning after taking Odd Dog for a walk. It was early people...like freaking 6:45 in the AM. My hide-a-key was missing from it's hide-a-key secret spot.

No I'm not going to tell you where it is...not that it really matters since it's magically disappeared.

I thought about busting out a window or breaking down door (don't laugh I could do it), but then remembered that I have a spare key in my car...that is locked. I only know about 4 phone numbers by heart and 3 of them are for folks that live over 3 hours away.

Thanks to a lovely early walking neighbor and a friend who recently inherited the emergency key I was back in my house and in the office by 9:00.

Guess who's going to get another spare key made after work!

I always fear that I am going to lock myself out. Usually I check my pockets constantly to make sure I have my keys. Luckily I am still living with my parents so they usually have a backup. But I still am always checking.

Your lucky you left your neighbors with that emergency key!
